Our Volunteers

The greatest success of this community lies in our dedicated and selfless volunteers who read books for the visually impaired. Approximately 400 volunteers are part of this community, with around 100 being actively always involved. These volunteers are not just limited to reading; they also play a vital role in various other service activities undertaken by the community. For the Vijnanadeepam community, these volunteers meticulously read and record books or any other text content in their original form, cover to cover. They ensure that cover pages and images are described, providing a complete reading experience for the visually impaired.

Donate Your Voice to the Visually Impaired

At Vijnanadeepam, we invite anyone who can read books and is willing to donate their voice to create audio books for the visually impaired. Our goal is to enhance access to literature and educational resources for those who read with their ears rather than their eyes. Our volunteers play a crucial role in this mission by dedicating their time and skills to recording high-quality audio books. Anyone with a passion for reading and a desire to help can enroll as a volunteer. The duration of volunteership is flexible, allowing volunteers to contribute as much or as little time as they can. Interested individuals can fill out the application form for volunteership, and upon acceptance, they will be enrolled as Vijnanadeepam volunteers. We proudly maintain a list of our dedicated volunteers with their respective membership numbers to recognize and appreciate their contributions.
