The Vijnanadeepam Audio Library is dedicated to serving individuals with visual impairments by providing access to a diverse collection of audio books and resources tailored to their needs. Membership is exclusively for those with a visual impairment of 40% or greater, ensuring that the library's resources are directed to those who rely on audio materials due to significant vision challenges.

To apply for membership, individuals must complete a designated application form available on the library’s website. Along with the form, applicants need to submit a copy of their disability certificate, issued by a recognized authority, to verify their visual impairment. A photograph is also required as part of the application process. These requirements help the library confirm eligibility and allocate resources effectively.

Eligibility is strictly limited to those who cannot read without assistance or see clearly with the naked eye, ensuring that the library serves those with genuine need. The library operates in compliance with the Indian Copyright Act of 1957, specifically Section 52, Subsection (1), as amended in 2012 under Section (zb), which allows for the provision of accessible formats for individuals with disabilities.

In summary, the Vijnanadeepam Audio Library is a specialized resource for visually impaired individuals, with a clear and structured membership process designed to prioritize accessibility and legal compliance while meeting the needs of its target community.
